Pathfinder Plans Wanted

Brodak sells Pathfinder plans. 2 sheets $15.00.

I have the 1/2a ones....can scale them to any size...I think it is the same plan.....

No, the 1/2A is different from the larger one. Brodak will sell the plans for either one for a reasonable price. I can supply plans for the earlier versions, as well as the full fuselaged version.

Best bet would be to call Brodak, order a set, with the pattern sheet. (Makes it really easy to cut out the parts.) At the same time you could also order any other parts you might need.

I am currently building a Brodak profile Pathfinder. I like the design and am interested in possibly building the full fuselage version. How much would it cost (plans + shipping) for the plans for the full fuselage version. Thank you.

Thanks for the interest in the full fuselage version of the PathFinder. I've attached a picture of the one I built in '94, and flew in Advanced at the 95 Nat's.

The plane has been referred to as the Pathfinder 40, and at times, PathFinder mk4. The mk3 is a profile version that uses the tapered wing of the mk4.

It's a large plane, marginally powered by all but the stronger .40's. Probably more suitable for a .46 or .53 sized engine.

Specs, Wing area 650 sq inches. Span, 57 5/8"

Wing construction uses a psuedo-I beam. If I built it today, I would convert to a Dtube. We found that their was some flex with the I beam.

The plans are 2 sheets, one for the plane, and a second sheet which is a pattern sheet. Price is $15.00 plus shipping. Which is usually about $4.00, rolled, priority mail.
