A true Darwin award candidate! Our Young Hero was tooling along the freeway behind a Highway Patrol cruiser. He wasn't paying attention, and misjudged his offramp. He later told arresting officers that he was going to speed up, pass the H.P. car, then cut across the officer's lane in order to make the exit. He admits 90 mph in his attempt to pass, but misjudged a tad, and rear-ended the police car, doing $9,000 damage to it. Fortunately, the officer was not badly injured, but the kid complained the cuffs were a bit tight.
