Its about time.

Someone in town has organized against the high cost of medical care, doctors fees, lawyers fees, anyone that charges excessive fees and makes excessive mounts of money from YOU and me.

I had my air conditioner serviced and the service man was going to bill me according to my yearly income not by an hourly pay scale. It seems someone has orginized a list of people in town that make an excessive amount of money and distributed the list to all of the self employer service orented businessis in town. Sense I do not make over $300,000. a year I am not on the list. I was charged a reasonable fee and given a copy of the list to keep and distribute to others.

Freedom of information act makes it possible to find out how much money someone makes, how much their home is worth, how much each piece of property they own is worth, how much their cars and boats are worth, how many vacation homes they have and how much they are all worth, etc. One of the Doctors on the list charges $800.00 an hour for his service at the Hospital. One of the local attornies charges $400.00 an hour for his service. The big real estate man in town filed a federal tax return on 2.8 million dollars last year. Property assessor charges $800.00 an hour.

Here is how it works. This system is designed to target people like Doctors that charge excessive fees to people like YOU and me. If a Doctor calls a plumber, carpenter, painter, roofer, carpet layer, electrician, air conditioner repair man, lawn service, etc. they are suppose to charge a fee equal to the fee charged by the person they have done the work for. Example if the Doctor that charges $800.00 an hour calls a lawn service and it takes 1 hour to mow the grass the lawn service bill will be $800.00.

The same information that is being distributed also lists recent court cases where the court up held the right of service oriented businesses to charge a fee based on the "ability to pay." If you charge a fee of $800.00 an hour then you have the ability to pay a fee of $800.00 an hour.
