A gorilla walked into Sal's Rendezvous and sat down, 10 A.M., only patron in the bar. Dave was 'tending, and cautiously approached this new customer. "What'll you have?" The gorilla said, "Screwdriver."
Dave went into the back room, where Sal was doing the books. "Sal! There's a gorilla out there, an' he ordered a screwdriver! Whadda ya want me ta do?" Sal snaps, "So give 'im a screwdriver!" Dave stammers, "But, how much shall I charge 'im?" Sal scowls, "Charge 'im ninety-nine fifty. Gorillas're stupid, he won't know the difference."
Dave serves the gorilla his screwdriver, and says, "That'll be ninety-nine fifty," and the gorilla reaches in his pocket and throws a $100 bill on the bar. Dave returns two shiny quarters, tapping them on the bar twice.
The gorilla finishes his drink, and stands to leave.
"You know," Dave observes, "Not too many gorillas come in here...as a matter of fact, you're the only one..."
The gorilla replies, "Well, at ninety-nine fifty a drink, it's no wonder!"
