I heard this at the butcher`s funeral:
Our town butcher ran a sort of mom and pop shop. He didn`t get his meat order on Friday, which left him a little short on product.
Saturday a woman, who had been a customer for years, came in and asked for a chicken. When he went to the freezer, the butcher noticed he was down to one chicken. He put the chicken on the scale. It weighed two and a half pounds. The woman said, "I`d like one around three pounds". The butcher took the chicken back to the freezer and brought it out again. He put it on the scale amd adjusted the weight with his thumb to make it weigh three and a half pounds. The customer said," That`s more like it! Come to think of it, I`ll take the other one, too".
