Daylight Saving Time

A state legislator in Indiana many years ago objected to the idea of Daylight Saving Time. He maintained sagely that that there is always a trade-off in the adoption of any policy, despite its popularity. Instituting Daylight Saving Time would cause drapes and curtains to fade more quickly.

(I know, I know, but just wanting to keep this conference alive with something other than terrorist jokes!)

He, He! As you know, daylight saving time was invented by Benjamin Franklin with the objective of reducing the use, and expense, of candles.
