Just what the world needs another sanding tool . Right?
Well this one really isn't too bad here is the skinny on it.
It's basically a piece of very dense insulating foam ,black in color, with a hand strap on one side that is big enough to get my paw into it. The other side has velcro on it and the paper that they supply in 80/120/220 grit has a fuzzyback that really grabs on to it.
Ok so why is this a good thing well for one thing it's wide enough to do a meaningful surface and it is rigid enough to not cave in the middle and sand a hollow in anything. But it's best feature is that it will conform to a wing shape. I just did the rough sand with 220 on some L/E planking and it knocked the glue edges down and smoothed the whole surface and didn't give me any hollows. It was easier and more comfortable to use then a sanding block and you definitely have more control of the paper.
It may not be the ultimate sanding tool but at $7.00 it's a worthwhile tool to have in your sandpaper box.
