I got a Hexadrone at our Christmas raffle a year or so ago. Built and flew it.
Construction is even faster than the Hyper Viper. Bolt on bellcrank, make leadouts (all external), bolt on engine. Go fly.
I only put about 2 runs on the Norvel Revlite .061 before flying, and flew the plane about 4 flights, so the engine is still coming in.
Naturally, you have to have the model hand-launched, and prefer landing on grass to prevent damage.
The model flew with a Tornado 5x4 white prop, .008 x 42' lines, RSM/Renger handle.
The speed turned out to be moderate (for a 1/2A), line tension was excellent. Maneuvers were not much to write home about, but at least there was no stalling tendency like on the Hyper Viper. Tip weight seemed to be right on.
I expect that the maneuverability can be punched up a bit with some tailweight, but you then might reach the stall region. Like the Skybaby, it has a sharp leading edge.

Combat? Fugeddaboudit
I expect that over tall grass, it will prove bulletproof. But the Plastic Fantastic 24 will do all that and more, cheaper.
