Center marker and gouger from Great planes

I recently purchased these tools from the LHS. Pretty nifty tools.

The centering tool perfectly marks the center of the engine mounting bolts without a lot of fuss. Saves me a lot of missed mounting holes.

The other tool almost looks like it's the same tool, but it is used to make those shallow troughs for the flap horn to fit into. I tried them out on the legacy flap fillets and they worked to make perfectly shaped recesses for the flap horn extensions to lie in. Nice and easy.

I purchased one on sale from mail order. It works pretty nicely but not really any better than my old standby - a 12" long 1/8" drill bit. In fact, the drill bit would fit closer to the exhaust ports on some engines. Where the GP Dead Center tool really shines is in centering holes larger/smaller than 1/8".
