I have been real fortunate to have been able to watch a man put together some of the finest models your money can buy. In the past I have cloned alot of different models I have kits of, mostly because the quality of wood left a lot to be desired, and most of the time my cutting them out also left a lot to be desired. The selection of the right wood is an art in itself. I have watched Larry select the right wood for each part for texture and weight before he starts his precision cutting process. His perfect kits go through a screened inspection for any flaw or imperfection after they are cut out. He then lays every piece out making sure every piece is accounted for before he wraps each section of parts in bubble wrap. He also incloses a copy of the original plans for that particular model. Every model he ships is double boxed for safer shipping.
Right now he is puting together 2 Veco Smoothie kits, one for me and one for my friend RJBOB in Alaska. I'm just totally amazed at the patience and the amount of time it takes to process a couple of these kits. I lost tract of time after 20 odd hours and he's not done yet. He has a nice shop and top of the line tools and the best quality of balsa and the love of doing a great job.

He has the Midwest Warbirds in a couple off sizes and most of the Veco kits and a few others not to mention Profile Carrier planes. They are all cut the same as the original. If you want to build an older model such as these, and don't want it for a collection you'll never get an opportunity like this ever. You can just open the box and just build it, without having to make pieces fit right or replace heavy wood for lighter wood. Like I said I have been fortunate enough to have been able to get a birds eye view of the operation and it's really impressive.
