Frank Bowman's Engine Services

A few weeks ago I decided to send three of my oldest Tigers (Two ST-40s and an old beatup ST-46.) to Frank Bowman for a general 'look see' and new rings.

I've owned the 40s since the 80's (I got them well used.) and the '46' was a swap meet orphan that cost me almost nothing.

Once Frank got the engines, he found that my favorite 40 had a slightly bent crank, while the other one had an oval liner. He cleaned the engines, straightened the bent crank, honed the sleeves, fitted new bearings, cut me some new venturi sets and put everything back together in 1st class fashion using socket-head screws.

When I got my St's back I was shocked, suprised and happy with the great work that he did for me. And the price? MUCH less than I expected, while my Tigers are actually better than new!

It appears as if Frank will work on almost anything with a ring, so If you need an engine serviced, I'd suggest that you give him a try!
