I just got an engine back from Scott (old Green Head 19,originally R/C) for a custom venturi and also asked if he could fabricate some sort of exhaust deflector (exhaust on wrong side,point's UP on a profile).As some of you know,this man's work is OUTSTANDING,could'nt be happier with what he designed, turn around time about a week or less,very reasonable price.ANY custom machine work I need in the future is going to Scott.....Jack

Here are some before and after shots of Scott's work. This is the second engine I have sent him. When I removed the needle assembly and the venturi a chunk of metal came out. The edges showed it was an old break and the damage was part of what wraps around the base of the venturi and holds the needle assembly in one one side. I figured it meant finding a case but Scott saw the pictures and said to send it to him. You can see the result - it is fixed and ready for service. Once again Scott has made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. His service was fast and reasonable.

Scott, can you say what the venturi was repaired with? Looks a great job.

I started out by tearing the engine down, cleaning it with Breaklean a CRC Product. I then used a dental drill to roughen up the edges and to find how far the crack went into the case. In Bills case the crack was quite long. I drill along the crack to expose good material. I sort of make a valley for the new material. Now I used JB weld. I made four layers to build up the area. The one thing that Bills Engine had was an out of round venturi stack. This made for a second problem. I had to re-mill the stack and make a shoulder inside. When I was milling I noticed that there was more material out one side then the other. GEE simple fix. ANYWAY there are several products out there. One is Liquid Aluminum form DEVCON. This industrial epoxy is $39 an pint, and is very strong. Easy to use. I’ve used it to fill holes in Aluminum Flanges for co-generation plants. So for the price and the strength JB Weld is OK for our purpose.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Scott for quite some time now. Everything has been excellent, and the reapirs/parts are superb.
Got to see now how the engines I got from Joe run! (Scott set them up)
