EDJER Hobby Knife Sharpeners

I had always wanted to try their sharpener for a #11 blade. I found one on the da bay for a very good price. I am into SHARP because of my professional training & training as a Boy Scout.
I quickly receieved grief from my son. "I thought you used those blades because they are disposable. Sharpening them is a dumb idea and a waste of time."
I have used the sharpener and a single #11 blade to cut all the balsa parts for a Shark 15, two Magician 15's, & a Baby Clown. I am now sold on sharpening #11 blades. I can with a couple of quick strokes keep a blade rasor sharp quicker than I can change a blade. It is enjoyable always cutting with a sharp blade. I did not realize how quickly a blade starts to dull.
I am now addicted to the sharpener. I do not know how I got along with out one. I asumed that Edjer no longer made this sharpener as I have not seen them advertized in the last few years. I wrote them to see if they still had the replacement sharpening blocks for my old sharpener. I quickly received a catalog and a special offer on the replacement parts that I wanted. They have a new & improved #11 sharpener $19.95 + shipping $4.00. They also sell all types of blades and cutting instruments. I tried to contact Edjer through www.edjer.com It came up as registered and parked on Google could not contact as on attempt it was not found. I have a Defective #11 blade sharpner the sharpening block will not fit in slot just falls through. It is way out of warrenty Bought from Tower then, they did not have it in catalog need to get block replaced

Thanks for reminding me about this excellent product. I still hadn't found the two I had in SoCal, and had just about forgotten about them. I've been running through blades way too repidly. I called Joe Roberts (EDJER) on Tuesday, and the new sharpener arrived today; very fast wervice.

They have made several improvements in the since it was introduced in the late 80s, the greatest is that it now comes with a saddle for the larger handles; the original fit only the #1 handles.
