From Steve Hand comes the very first production kit of the Claus Maikis "China Clipper"! What a kit! This kit is 100% laser cut, even all the plywood parts. The Clipper's wing span is 61" and a fuselage length of 46". Full size CAD drawings. Just beautiful! Steve recommends a .51 thru .65 for power. The really nice thing that I have not seen in any kit is the wing jig comes with the kit and is also laser cut! The wood is really fine balsa and no splintering plywood. The leading edges are molded from 1/16" balsa and cut to fit left and right wing. Plastic canopy and molded top fuselage covering. The horizontal stab is about 30" and built up along with the vertical fin and rudder. Wheel pants are all laser cut and what a fit! I just received this kit today in the mail and found it to be packaged with all the sheets tapped together so no bouncing around in the box. All block wood is VERY light. The fuselage is also set up with built in jigs so you get a straight build. The laser work is really CLEAN, and not burned up at the edges. Most of the parts fall out of the sheets and now I see why he wraps the sheets with tape. This is a must see kit.
