Dremel-type tool

If anyone out there is in need of a dremel type tool, I'd like to recommend the one available from Homier. It comes with a table clamp, flexible shaft, sanding drums, cutoff wheels, discs, buffer pads, and a nice collection of grinding stones. Tell us more about it, Jim. The good, the bad. What could be improved (realizing it is only $20). Is it single speed, multiple speed, variable speed? How does the power compare to the Dremel equivilent?

Hi Leonard, thats fair. I never owned a Dremel myself, so I can't compare it with that. I have always used a 1/4 die grinder but it's really not a good choice for indoor work so I decided to spring for this tool. I can tell you that the RPM range is from 10,000 to 30,000 RPM's, variable speed, adustable with a nice rotary switch. The motor is rated at 125 watts. It seems to have plenty of power. It grinds easily through a piece of maple motor mount so I don't think power is an issue. Same shaft size as the Dremel too, so most attachments/tools should be interchangeable. The question to be answered is how will it hold up. It is manufactured in China, but I can say that is is nicely made and runs very smooth. I am extremely happy with it so far, well worth 20 bucks

I have also purchased this tool. I used to borrow my father's Dremel tool so I have something to compare to.

Basically the tool is identical to Dremel in capabilities. The only downside I found is that it does not fit into any Dremel extensions such as Drill press stand and router attachment. The case that houses the motor is a little bit larger than Dremel. This could be due to more powerfull motor, it houses. The power is noticable especially when working with the flex shaft.

All in all this tool does everything the $100 Dremel counterpart does so deciding between the two is a no brainer.

Went to the site. Bought the tool. Looked at their catalog and ended up spending 104 bucks for drill bit sets and their Delta-Look a like belt sander.

They also sell a really workable HVLP spray gun for $25. I've bought several. It's as good as the Harbour Freight gun. The only thing it lacks is an inline AP regulator, but you can pick one up there for only $3.
