I received my copy yesterday, and lost almost an entire night of sleep just skimming it. It's 250+ glossy pages with 000's of photographs, and exhaustively thorough descriptions. For example, it devotes 20 pages to Fox Mfg., and details the minor variations by year starting in 1948. There are sixteen pages each of photos and descriptions of McCoy and O&R engines. Car and boat engines are included along with airplane engines. There are sections on CO2, jets, compressed air and even carbide/dry ice powered engines. Well indexed.

I would call this a "must-have" for anyone interested in the history of a particular engine. It covers the period 1911 to 1975, and does not even pretend to be a price guide, as any printed price would be already outdated by the time the book was published.
