Finally finished the Barnstormer

I have just recently completed my latest Barnstormer from a kit by Walter Umland.

This kit is of the highest quality. Every part in it fit just like it was supposed to. The quality of the wood was excellent. I did not see a need to replace any of it. Building is just as enjoyable as flying to me, and building a kit of this caliber can only add to the enjoyment.

Power is a Larry Foster prepared Fox 35 (another excellent piece of equipment). Finish is Brodak dope over silkspan. Weight without fuel is 32oz.

I put the first three flights on it this past Sunday. After the first flight, I moved the l/o's forward 1/16". After the second flight, no changes. The third flight was the complete OTS pattern. I have built several Barnstormers over the years. I can already tell that this one is going to be the best flying one I have ever had.

OK, Bill,now come by my garage and finish my two Umland Barnstormers. I have them ready to cover, less rudders. I find it easier to finish them last. These will by my 5th and 6th Barnstormers and the version Walter Von Umlander puts out is the best version and the easiest to build.
