Thought it was time to try posting a picture of a Ringmaster that I built a couple of years ago, useing Bill Schmidt plans of an original Ringmaster. I used bargain grade balsa from superior. Prior to covering it someone told me they fly better if built light, so I lighten the wing and hollowed out the solid leading edge.
I'm not to happy with my dyed lite weight silk span, it did'nt take the dye to well. Also it took a lot of coats of Brodak to fill the silk span. Sooo it weighs 30 OZ. with out fuel. Picture was taken before first flight. But it is enjoyable to fly.
