I have just mounted the engine in my new ARC Vector 40 (full body fuselage) and found the crankshaft is not vertically centred in the nose ring. Was wondering how I can check if the engine thrust line is correct or if upthrust / downthrust has been build in.

Thanks.

You will need 2 incidence meeter's,square, level, and a tape measure.

First I would make sure the table is level. Then block the plane with the incidence meeter's attached to wing and stab. Then bolt a piece of flat plate stock on the prop shaft, then either use the square up against the flat plate and the table. Or instead of a square you cane use and inclinometer you can purchase from sears for $10.00. Everything should read zero.
