Manning is a home town boy.... well close enough.

And they said he could not win the big games.

At least they got better officiating than we did last year.

Good job Colts!

Being ninety miles from Chicago we had to root for the Bears here (since the Packers were nowhere in sight) but we're not all that unhappy about the outcome of the game.

Way to go, Colts! Party on, Indy!

I missed the game.

I spent my Superbowl Sunday working on the fuse of my Ringmaster and watching/listening to "True Grit" and "The Sons of Katie Elder" Something about building models and old movies go really well together.

Just like Captain Morgan and Dr Pepper...mmmm....gotta go!

Years and years ago, I was in Denver attending a conference, and there was some sort of event at one of the convention hotels. I was waiting for a friend to come out, there was sort of a bar near the lobby with a fairly big TV. Playing was a football game. Normally, I wouldn't be all that interested in a football game, this one happened to have the Colts playing the Denver team (what ARE they called? The Broncos?), and not only were they playing Denver, they were wiping up the field with them. The score must've been 52-0 when I started watching, and got progressively bigger and bigger. After a few minutes, someone would pass through. "Who's playing?" "Denver and Indianapolis." "Who's winning?" "Indianapolis." "What's the score?" "52-0". "D**n".

A few minutes later, someone else comes out and also takes a look at the screen. "Who's playing?" "Denver and Indianapolis." "Who's winning?" "Indianapolis." "What's the score?" "52-0". "D**n".

Then a third guy comes out. "Who's playing?" "Denver and Indianapolis." "Who's winning?" "Indianapolis." "What's the score?" "59-0". "D**n".

The first one was mildly amusing, the second one even more so, by the time the fifth or sixth one came by, it was beginning to be very funny, and I had a huge grin on my face, trying to keep from laughing. Eventually, someone read my badge. "Oh! No wonder you look so happy."
