Really frigid digits

Hi Guys,

Here's some shots of yesterday mornings flying. It was just a bit chilly - freezing fog, still we got 4 flights in before everything iced up. Visibility was maybe 160 feet, just enough for CL.

It was fun flying with 1/8 dia lines. The lines iced up to within 6 to 10 feet of the handle. Talk about line drag.......

You needed the garden sprayer with the ehylene glycol de-icer in it at the end of the taxiway!

Its about -5 here this AM wind chill is reported at -24 & all the moisture in the air is long gone!

Hasn't been this cold in a few years.

Yea, it's not that cold here, but I can barely see across the driveway. Visability about 40 feet. Just have to love fog.

I gotta show this post to my wife. She thinks I'm nuts if it's less that 40 degrees and I go fly.

I'd love to, but I just could not get used to it being dark so early during the summer - it's bright up to 11 pm here during the summer, and heck, in Queensland they don't even have daylight saving time!

Rough winter, for sure. After yesterday's 81(F) here, today's high is predicted to plunge to a mere 77(F)...with only 14-percent humidity.

On the upside, the Beanfield is now 32 miles closer. Instead of taking the bridge, the tunnel, or the boat, now we can just drive across Lake Saint Claire.
