This is probably gonna start up another big fight, just like it always does, but sitting alone in the barracks brings out the fiesty-ness in just about everyone so I will go ahead and rehash the question...

...why do people park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?!?!

A couple of days ago I parked in a tow away zone.
When I got back, the whole area was gone.

. . .and why are structures that are finished "buildings", when that part is done? Shouldn't they be "builts"?

Why is there a "permanent press" setting on a electric iron?
Why do they use a sterile needle for an execution?
Why is there ketchup and never ketchdown?
Why is Jerry Lewis so popular in France?
Why am I wasting your time with this?

HA! That reminds me of all the times we sent new airman to the tool crib to retrieve 30' of flight line, some K9P lubricant and a bucket of prop wash!

And of course if you are in the Air Force you can count on being sent to the M&E squadron to get a gallon of "Prop Wash". Those were the good old days.

Don't forget the ground guides and the grid squares.

We even got a second luey to go for some wood welding rods, The supply sergeant sent back eraserless pencils. We sent them back cause the flux was bad. He sent them back with a can of talc. That was sent back 'cause we were welding dark wood. He returned some coffee grounds for the project. By that time the glue had dried. When the second luey told of the project the colonel needed to see it. We had to fess up as the old man was a welder also, everyone got a laugh out of it (except one).

When I asked for that stuff, it came wrapped-up in a bundle of air foil!
