This is a good deal for anyone living in the US (Free Shipping) ..... anyone living outside of US this deal becomes a little jaded with costs of shipping today.

The time was once that items like this could be attained at swap meets and garage sales for very little ..... but that was in the days when the general modelling populace perceived the Enya brand to be Junk ...... sadly those days are gone....... [photo not recovered: cry.gif]

The mufflers are hard to find. Easily worth $12. But they're lead anchors. One never knows on ebay. Good compression is relative. I purchased 2 or 3 engines on the bay that were whupped, despite featuring "good compression." Two of them were Enyas. Interesting. Since it seems almost impossible to wear them out when running them regularly, year after year. Made me wonder if corrosion could have been the culprit. An engine stored without oil. Also, finding a suitable venturi and needlevalve should add $20 to $25. Looking around, it's possible to buy a new control line enya for not that much more.

The new venturi's and NVA are very inexpensive Dennis. I don't know if you have seen the prices but they are around 10-12 bucks for this motor minus shipping. Also the Enya's on the bay have almost doubled in price since the rebirth of the c/l motors. Do a completed search and you will see how much they are going for. Still this motor is a good deal if it indeed has good compression.

Randy Smith wants between 20 and 25 for the venturi and needle, I believe.

Almost anytime you find a lapped Enya engine with poor compression it is quite likely it was run with synthectic oil. They don't have a long life when run in this manner.

Sometimes you can get some of that compression back by switching to all-castor.
