I've would up with five old O.S. S-35's, and I'm cleaning them all and deciding what to do with them. Three were R/C engines, two C/L. Any I keep will be C/L. But let me get to my point.
I tear them down and cook them in my little crock pot, and that does a great job on everything except carbon. Two of them are loaded with carbon, piston heads and combustion chambers. One has just a touch of it, and two of them literally have none at all.
Why is that? Does it have to do with the type of fuel or type and quantity of oil used in them, or is it simply due to the amount of running time they've had?
It's not that I've gained more patience, it's that I no longer care.
