Could you give information regarding does FOX 35 need pressure from the muffler? I have quite strong experience that OS 40 FP definitely needs pressure, but what about the FOX? Then I know that ST 46 G 21 doesn't always need pressure.
Please give me information about the case of FOX 35.

I use pressure on all but my piped ship. Unless I fly my McCoy's/ Johnson's on older ships. Then uniflow no muffler. RSM muffler works good/ Stuka stunt has good muffler/ OS .35-.40 FP stunt works fine.
Brodak muffer also good.

Foxes run well either way, but I like muffler pressure. I am running the world's smallest and least effective mufler on the one I am flying now. It is a piece of tinplate bolted in above and below the exhaust. It does not cover the front half of the exhaust. It has a pressure tap just rearward of the vertical bar in the exhaust, and is bent into the exhaust behind to make an enclosed space. So about 3/4 of the exhaust is open and the pressure seems like what you would get from any other muffler.
I have never gotten satisfactory runs from my Fox 35s on muffler pressure, but have great success using Uniflow. It is probably just my methods for the poor pressure performances though.

The ceramic Fox in my El Diablo has a uniflow tank without muffler pressure and runs fine. Launch in a rich 4 stroke and it breaks to 2 stoke on maneuvers just like in the old days. I do have one of the super light Hy-Flow mufflers on the engine but no pressure tap.

I have ceramic Fox in my Smoothie- setup with a tounge muffler- 4 oz uniflow tank on suction, stuffer plate & hemi head on Powermaster 10% - 29% oil -runs more than fine- it is the BEST- smoothest running Fox of my entire fleet. Reliable 1 flip starts (unless flooded) -release with a crackling 4 stroke and on maneuvers it breaks to text book 2-4 It's music to the ears-just like the olden days!
Planning to transplant to my nearly finished Nobler as soon as I can get the finishing completed. Silkspan & clear is done-ready for final color coats,
Next I want to fit Scott's Hy-Flow muffler- I already have one fitted to my B-40.

I have now ordered or have Smoothie, ceramix fox 35 and tongue mufler from SIG. Seems to be might work without pressure. Where can I get tongue muflers with pressure output possibility?
I think that's a bit high tech to change the hemi head and stuffer backplate. My understanding is that ceramic doesn't come with those as standard.

If you buy your ceramic Fox from RSM, you get all the Larry Foster goodies included. That included a good hemi head and stuffer backplate. Most important, it also includes trued-up mounts and the Fox "burp" fix. It will also come with a Super Tigre type needle valve. It is expensive, but is a ready to fly stunt motor that is light, smooth, and powerful especially with 15% nitro.
