Cox .049 muffler ID?

Greetings,

I've got this muffler and am not sure of it's pedigree. It looks sort of like a Tatone but it is in two pieces and put together with machine screws. The front has EM-7 cast into it.

Any idea who made it? I've got it installed on a Baby Bee with stunt tank (Silver Bee?) on a Baby Clown. Seems to quiet things without any noticeable drop in power.

Dunno, but I'd like to have one like it. I have a Black Widow that's deafening. never could figure out why it's louder than the others.

Yes that's a Tatone. If your not loosing power its likely due to the sleeve which doesn't have sub piston induction. With sub piston induction, to exhaust gas is forced back into the crankcase killing the power. The Cox mufflers work just as well on the right sleeve.

Hey John,

I thought it was a Tatone, but I was not sure. I actually ordered a couple from MECOA about a year ago, they are on back order...probably for eternity. I got this one on the 'bay but it was unidentified and I had not seen a good photo of a Tatone so I didn't know.

The right sleeve is a #6 Located at the base of the cyl(early thin wall)or in the corner of the exhaust notch ( late ) Scott
