Fox Factory for Sale ?

Has anyone heard that the Fox factory is for sale? I was on ebay and the seller jocairdog is saying that the factory is for sale and probably won't be sold as a model engine producer, but sold as equipment sales. Any truth to that? Look at Item number: 180264988852

Well....I don't know if it's true or not, but it's not the first time this rumor has floated around.....probably not even the tenth time!

I juuuust got off the phone with Fox. Their factory is NOT ... I repeat... NOT forsale. I told her that a fox 15 snrl listing on Ebay says it is and she laughed and said that is funny because they are tooling up to make a run on the Fox 15 right now.

I then talked with her a little. I asked how the sale of the 35 ceramic is going and she said not too good. They are having problems making them...coating issues. Anyway, we talked about the old .59 I picked up and some other things. Bottom line is their business is doing fine, both the model and the non-model sides. People forget that they make stuff other than model stuff.

It is GREAT to hear that FOX is NOT for sale, for me FOX has been the grand ole friend / stand by engine for 58 years!!

Thanks, John. I came within two #'s of calling Fox myself, mostly out of curiosity. Too bad about the QC issues with the Ceramic P&L !

This rumor was floating around at the NATS site while I was there. When I heard of the individuals involved I blew it off as another rumor. Model engines is not where Fox made money.

They made a bunch of money during the Nam era on bomb fuse parts. I even sent them a job for 2.5" rocket nosecones that the plant I was running could not run in a timely manner. There was a reason other than model stuff that Duke was driving a Rolls
