Youtube blury?

I just went to youtube to watch some flying vids and when I clicked on fullscreen it came up blury, every vid I tried, anyone else having this problem?

Not sure exactly what you are seeing, but Youtube typically will have cut the resolution to decrease the file size.So if you blow it up full screen then you will see "pixelation".

Some of the flight video's Fred and I have taken on our Canon cameras are on the scale of 500Mbytes, so we even reduce before we upload to Youtube, so the resolution has taken a "big" hit even before Youtube gets them.

Have you tried this yet. Lower right of video box says "View In High Quality" Click on it it usually clears it up quite a bit.

The "View In High Quality" feature is new and not available on all videos - but it's nice when it is.

I've tried everything, clicked "view in high quality" reset my puter resolution even did a google search and learned I'm not alone and nobody knows why it's happening. Even tried downloading Zillatube and that didnt work so who knows, oh well.

Full-screen youtube videos are normally expected to be very blurry. When you blow up a very low-res video up to full screen the pixels are huge and fast action is always going to be poor due to the compression.

I think they look better at the regular size.

Thanks for the replys.
Up until a week or so ago they all worked perfect, now when I click on full screen it's all blurry even the tool bar at the bottom and the message in the middle of the screen that sais press escape to exit full screen is three times bigger and blury so It's not my system.

Check out one of my better uploads.. It should be good in the full screen mode (with 15.5"-20" screen), but make sure to click on "watch in high quality" mode).

You're right; it's remarkably good.
But again, I like it better in the small version,
where it appears perfect.

Don't make it full screen.

YouTube (and everyone else) must communicate
to your computer via a pretty slow link.
It's not fast enough to support full-screen resolution
at video rates, even with compression and such.
There are lots of compromises required to make
it work at all.

Stay with the small picture.

I am no help either, but I had a similar experience at work. I wondered why the computer projector wouldn't focus until I noticed that I was wearing the wrong glasses. It took about 5 minutes to figure this out.
