Here's a J&J Ukey 35 I assembled for my daughter to learn some stunts. Fuse doubler & fiberglass, leadouts on bottom. OS 20fp, 31 ounces. Thanks to Bruce Hunt for parting with this kit.

Sometimes, particularly when things look a bit bleak, I am reminded of what happens when a pebble is thrown into the pond. One just never knows where the ripples will go. Sort of makes me wish we could have done more.

Nice looking rig for your daughter. I am considering the same for my 10 year old.

Question - I can't tell from the picture, but what did you fiberglass? Also, what size (thickness) doublers did you use on the front of the fuse?

I added a 1/16" plywood doubler inboard back to the wing spars, and fiberglassed the outboard fuse nose to tail before I put on the wing.

Yep Dan, that's the fp you donated to the Eichten-kid training program years ago. Both my younguns have learned to fly with this engine. I'm a little surprised it still runs, considering how often it's been pounded into the dirt. I put big spinners on to help save the crank...
