Okay I was thinking....If you were to croak, how would you like to be remembered?

I would like to be remembered as the guy that never quit....till I gave up trying

That I destroyed my fair share of airplanes and had lots of fun doing so.

Its pointless to for me to WANT to be remembered a certiain way...cause theres too much to overcome

-the kid who wanders into the circle while people are flying


Ill probably be forty and still referenced as "the kid" kinda like Dale Earnhart Jr...

I just watch NASCAR. If you love Kasey Kahne, then you could have been one of those women from the allstate commercial (remember them).

If I were to die tomorrow, I would at least want to prove my friends that these planes are NOT toy planes that you buy at Walmart for $20.

Grace they know, I fly patterns during free time and they ask me what I am doing. Now since there were about 20 planes flying over today during baseball, they all asked me what kind of plane is that???

The paved circle where we practice is not quite dry enough to access yet. It will be one of the first things that we try out when we can get out there. For now, it is just backyard stunt with the quietest stuff we have.

I hope to be remembered with a big smile.

Told my wife and family that I think funerals intensify grieving, promote sadness, and encourage extravagance. Group morbidity is not something I want for my loved ones, and friends.

I've requested no funeral, no memorial, and no cemetery burial. I've suggested immediate cremation, and no more than a paper box, or cookie tin for the remains (preferably a peanut butter cookie tin).

Told my wife that I want her to use the thousands of dollars that a funeral and burial would cost, to take a long vacation someplace she has always wanted to go, and to take a good friend or relative that she loves.

Any money left over is to be used to host a give away party for my friends. The family may keep, sell, or give away anything of mine they wish, but the rest is to be given to my friends.

Well If I would be remembered, I would like to be remembered for all the good times my friends and I have had. I want you guys to remember me as John Paris' daughter and Michael Paris' sister. Honestly I do not care for what you remember me for if you remember me, just remember whats true. And if I die early I am going to donate my body to science.

A few things:
Raced desert on motorcycles and was crazy/fast.
Raced Figure 8 Stock Cars and was known to never lift at the X (I did wreck 3 times but won at least 20 times)
The " Wheelie Guy" at the local Parade for 20 years (I can Wheelie for ever)
Never grew up. I'm 50 this year, why start now?

I heard a preacher was talking to young kids about death. He asked all the kids who wanted to go to heaven? All the kids raised there hand except for one little boy. The preacher figure the young lad did not hear him so he asked all the kids again. Who wanted to go to heaven? Again all the kids raised there hand except that same little boy. So the preacher leaned over and asked the lad, “don’t you want to go to heaven?”
The little boy said, “ Oh yes sir, but I figured you were getting a load to go right now.”

All joking aside, my mother passed away this week, and as I reflected this week a few things came to mind. She was a very giving person and would give you her last dollar if she thought you needed it. She had a heart for God and she let it show. And as I think of who she was and the things she did for everyone it occurred to me that my mom was LOVE. That is how I want to be remembered too.

I was born a mere forty-four years after the first powered flight by the Wright brothers. The airplane is now one hundred and six years old...My age? Do the math. I knew at the age of five that airplanes would be my religion; my dad (a P-38 crew chief) said I had MIL-5606 for blood; my mother was one of the first people to fly with me as a new pilot. I grew up in a Eastern Airlines family, working for the company for two years prior to twenty years in the Air Force. Now? My oldest son is a pilot and manages our aircraft repair business. Me? I teach Aviation Technology for a college, leaving indelible influence, theories, experiences and knowledge to my students, who will pass this knowledge on to others, thus as long as man remains in the air...in some way I'll be there.
Epithet? "The Physics of Flight Releases the Soul."

BTW: Grace...stay serious about your flying...talk to your friends; don't be shy about what you do...It's cool! No matter what someone may think. Not many people can do this.

I prefer to be remembered as a true friend to all and that my word is my bond. When I die I am to be cremated and have my ashes spread up in Evolution Valley in the High Sierra Mtns. I can't imagine a prettier place to spend eternity.

Wouldnt that be a joy ride? Have one of your kids fly a plane with your ashes in the cockpit. That way, you will always be near.!!
