Fuel capacity question

I should know this, but I don't: will a 2-oz. fuel tank be adequate for an FP .20 to complete the OTS pattern? Maybe 2-1/2 oz.? The FP is going into a "Vampire".

HI Mike. Two years ago at VSC I crashed my Barnstormer during practice. In a panic, I ran over and purchased and RTF Ringmaster with a 4 oz tank and an OS .25FP = 19 minute flight!!! From RSM I purchased a 2 1/2 oz tank, second official, 9 minutes. Every OS engine I have ever used and I use them a lot, are very, very fuel efficient as I have way too many overruns as to short runs.

My suggestion, install a 3 oz tank and fly it. You can always limit intake but can't increase capacity [photo not recovered: sipcof.gif]

Mike,
My FP20's run about 7 minutes on 1.75 oz of fuel. This is running a 9X4 APC and 10/22 fuel.
