Brian Eather decides to take a year off

Brian has decided to take a much needed vacation from the making of props, pipes, etc

He has no back stock, and will not be filling orders for the foreseeable future. He mentioned a break of at least a year. He would like to build a new plane and spend time with his family.

Wow, no more Bolly or Eather. Looks like I better move ahead with my plans to make a pitch gage and learn myself to tune and tweak props. Question, can a 2 blade wood prop be messaged into a good usable option for the piped set-ups ??

Anything is possible. When we were using the 12.5 x 5.5 Bolly on our 35 FP set-up we experimented a bit and came up with cutting down a 13 x 6 Top Flite Power Point prop to 12.5 and thinning the airfoil on the rounded side a bit and it turned out to be an almost perfect replacement. Took a little work but ran about the same.

These might be a good starting point. Get them in lower pitch according to what you think you might need. Start with about an inch longer than the 3-blade you were using. Then thin the airfoil a bit and see what happens. If you need to change the pitch slightly, you can start there by sanding on the flat side.
