To make a long story short, I can announce that for those planning to participate in the 2011 Nats CL Precision Aerobatics event, that if your entry was legal last year under the then current BOM requirements defined in the AMA Genral section of the rulebook, it will be legal this year. The recent changes made to that BOM rule that removed the specific interpretation for Precision Aerobatics do not change the basic requirements of the BOM rule.
The changes do not disenfranchise any particular pilot or group of pilots that competed with BOM legal models in previous years.
The AMA will support the 2011 Nats CLPA Event Director on this matter.
