I just received a barrage of fall household catalogs. In thumbing thru the furniture section of the Pottery Barn catalog, I was gratified to see right at the top of page 120 that this year's style rules encourage the display of your old OS Max engines with appropriately stained wooden prop as well as your "antiqued" flight box if placed on the middle shelf of your Occasional Table.
If you do not have a qualifying Occasional Table, you obviously could obtain one from Pottery Barn for a mere $299 and enjoy the pleasure of assembling it, kind of like an ARF. On the other hand, the style rule involved here would seem to apply equally to either kit or scratch-built tables, as well.
For those of you who were trendsetters with these style elements, be sure to now let your significant other know that their household has always been at the forefront of style.
I know I feel a lot better about my decor now....
