Tomorrow it is!!!

The FIRST weekend of October is hard upon us and that means it is Worldwide Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon time!!!

I repeat what I posted elsewhere!!

EVERYBODY who has access to a flyable Ringmaster needs to join us by flying on the 1st and/or 2nd of October.

Weather and miscellaneous other problems are interfering in some locals but most of us can put in some flights.

I have six electric Ringmasters that are good to go and will be flying in Burlington, IA where the weather is predicted to be PERFECT (Sunny, 65 degrees and 5 MPH winds).

This is supposed to be about promoting control line modeling and of course the lovable Ringmaster.

Don't forget to report your flights (etc) to; [email protected] not later than 12:00 noon EDT Tuesday Oct. 4th!!!

It's blowing a hoolie in Southern Ontario
(25 mph), but Ringmasters will be flown at
Burlington and Toronto Centennial Park.
We seem to have a choice. Sunny and high winds
Saturday or rain and strong winds Sunday.
Hey! We don't need to fly a pattern, just
get the Ringmasters up and around.
Types of landings are optional.

Well in spite of temps in the low 40s and winds at 25 mph we managed to put up 30 flights on an assortment of Ringmasters in Burlington Ontario. The wind gusted so hard a few times the planes almost came to a hover. Loops were supersonic but the rain held off and we actually flew in the sun for part of the day.

Tomorrows forecast is windier and with heavy rain so the Toronto half may be a wash out.

Sunday in Toronto featured wind gusting above 20 mph, rain on and off and a temperature of 40F. 8 pilots gathered and put 8 different Ringmasters through 22 flights before the rain became too heavy to continue.

A total of 52 flights in 2 very windy days.

We were all again reminded how very well a well built, balanced and properly powered Ringmaster S-1 will fly. Even in these extreme conditions full AMA patterns were flown.
