O.S. head gaskets needed...

I could use a few stock head gaskets for the O.S..35-S. Does anyone have any they can part with? Otherwise, are they possibly the same part number as another O.S. fitment that I may be able to just order new?

Eric Rule at RSM is going to start making some different head gaskets with his laser cutter. I am going to suggest these as one of the sizes to offer. Once he sets it up in his computer, it is easy to cut out small batches as opposed to the cost of making a die (about $500) to stamp them out.

I do have some of the other parts for these, however, including several new in package cases, crank shafts, and some after market connecting rods made from hardened aluminum (not soft cast as in the originals).

I have 2 factory new gasket sets for OS 35s $12.00 includes postage.

I make my own gaskets using a tool that is available from Lee Machine Shop. He is in Vendors corner over on SH.

At this time it appears the head gaskets from Dick may be lost in the mail. Hopefully they will still materialize, but either way I'd still like to get a few. Anyone else have any?

I have made several head gaskets from aluminum and copper roofing flashing. Mic the gasket area on the engine, scribe the circles on the metal, cut them out with sizzers. Easy to make in about 10 minutes work.

Well, the head gaskets from Dick were officially lost in the mail. I'd still like to track down a few OEM ones. Thanks for the suggestions on making them etc., but I've got some time on this and I'd just like to find some actual O.S. ones.

I think the problem needs a little more explanation. I mailed the gasket sets to Wayne on October 20th, first class but without delivery conformation as I could not print if of the USPS web sight at the time. It did get to Albert Lea but the delivery man apparently delivered it to the wrong address. Yesterday Wayne contacted the postmaster in person and expressed his displeasure at not getting the package. One would think that whomever got the package would return it to the post office but that apparently is asking to much from someone. Wayne and I had a conversation last night and they are long lost by now.
One good thing that came out of this is I have found a way to ship first class postage printing of the USPS web sight. As many of you e bayers know you can ship first class with delivery conformation off the e bay shipping page or the Pay Pal shipping page. All you need to do is find the link to the "SHIPPING ASSISTANT" on the USPS web sight. I think it can be found under shipping without paying for postage. You must then download the program that lest you do this. The one set back on this is you have to pay postage at the post office. Minor point.
The package must be at least 3/4" thick to get delivery conformation on first class mail. I hope this clarifies the event and helps others from having the same problem. I just confirmed all you have to do is put "shipping assistant" in the search and it comes up. Download it and there you are.
