I am selling a used 1949 Ohlsson & Rice 23 glow front-rotary-valve engine. It is complete and fairly clean. Also, it is the roller bearing version and has the cam ground into the crankshaft. It has fair compression and hand-starts easily after three flips with a finger over the intake. There are no leaks when running. Performance is as follows;
Static RPM Propeller Fuel
9,600 rpm 50's Top Flight 9X6 Sig Champ. 10% Nitro 25% castor
The mounting lugs have not been enlarged, but there are washer marks. One aluminum head fin is cracked but is still structurally sound and looks good. Additionally, the NV spring was cracked, so I repaired it with solder and a piece of brass. The repair is hardly noticeable and works well.
I would like $30 + S/H for this engine.
