KOI props

I will have these props at the KOI. 12X4 three blade and some pitched up to 5 in.
will also have 12x6 narrow two blade , and 93/8x41/2 two blades.
all in carbon.The Rad Man, Bob Whitney.

How much for the 12x4 3-blade?

Bob, Is the 12x4 similar to the 12x5 in the first pic? and is the one on the far left & on top the same prop but just cut down?

they all started out as 12/4's .the short one (11 in ) is pitched up to 6 in hopefully the weather will be good enough to try them sat

what prop works good on a S/T 60, i am moving up in the world.

Just thought I would report that Bob came over and flew with us in Tampa Bay at MCRC field yesterday, he brought several sample props to play with and we had a such a great flying session we lost all track of time. Got there after breakfast and barely made it home in time for dinner. Lunch? What lunch? Whoops! Some host! Sorry Bob!

Anyways, for you guys running piped 60's, I can say that Bob's clone of the Bolly 12x4 narrow is as good if not better (stiffer) than the original. It is by no means thick and chunky to attain this stiffness, it's just really high quality resin and plenty of tow.

Once we found one that matched the pitch I was currently running on my PA .61 in my first Starfire on Sig Champ 5%, I was able to run it back to back with what was my best prop at the same rpm. (10,0000 to 10,200 range)for the same 5.35 to 5.4 lap with plenty of line tension everywhere.

I did my 4 hourglass in a row test, and it kept the plane hung out there and passed . I was impressed enough to make him leave minus 2 of those props and an order for more another kind.

The narrow blades didn't catch the wind for any noticeable wind-up, and this was the kind of weather where it would have if it could. (cold, 50 to 58 deg, got a little breezy after a while, but not too bad)

So, we now have another great alternative from Bob, he's very accommodating and great to work with. Bob showed me other props he's working on, and they look like they will be winners too.

I wanted to ask...are the props raw out of the mold, or finished and balanced, pretty much ready to re-pitch and use? Prices for each type? How much extra for the finishing vs. raw? TIA, Steve

Steve . the origanal Bolly 12x4 is 12x3.75 .and mine seem to becoming out of the mold at the same 3.75 . the prop Eric liked best was pitched to 4.25.at station #9 on a prather pitch gage .
the props we were using were de-flashed ,balanced , and all scratch's removed with 320 sandpaper.
i was using one cut down to 11in and pitched to 5.25in on my S/T 46 powered Jamison ,and it also handled the wind very good ,RPM was 8600.

after looking things over the price's will be straight out of the mold with most of the flashing remover ,$25 , cleaned up and balanced $35 ,and re-pitched $40.

Eric gave me a Bolly 12x6.5 three blade that he ran on his S/T60 .if there is any intrest i will mold it up. The Rad Man.

now have a wide blade 12.25 x 6 working real good on my S/T60 powered Big Job. Rad
