Classic legal Sheeks Torino proto short kit +++SOLD+++

A few years ago, I drew up the CAD plans for this neat Sheeks twin boomer. I had always wanted to build one. I had 2 proto short kits cut, as another modeler wanted one. Well, I had the strip ribs laser cut, which was probably a mistake as it really upped the cost of laser cutting. It turned out that my cost was just short of $150.00. This was apparently more than the other modeler wanted to pay, so I still have the one kit left.

After I built the plane, I found items that needed to be changed, and after discussing these changes with Jack Sheeks, I found that these changes were some of the very things he had done on the original.

what sort of changes did you note needing to be made, how much of the short kit will be affected by these changes?

The changes are rather small, and noted on the plans. Basically, the chord on the flaps and elevator has been increased. The photo shows the plane before the elevator chord was increased.

The flap chord follows a note in the original construction article where it was mentioned that a standard 2" wide precut RC aileron set was used to construct the flaps.

The elevator chord was increased after the first flights because the square corners were softer than I liked. When I talked to Jack, and showed him the plane, he mentioned that the elevator chorde on the original had been shortened to soften the corner, and that what I had added, was about what was removed.
