Veco Tomahawk Plans

Anyone out there have an orginal Veco Tomahawk kit they want to sell. This is like the one Brodak has a similar one of. Not the newer Dumas jet style. Plans from an orginal kit would be okay too.

Still looking for a set of Veco Tomahawk plans, these are the ones that are similar to Brodak's kit, but from orginal Veco kit. Not the later jet looking style. Era mid 50's to early 60's.

There is a Original Veco Tomahawk plan posted as a download on the Hip Pocket Aeronautics web site (www.hippocketaeronautics.com) in their Builders Plan Gallery. You will have to register as a member to get access to it but it's a simple process. There are full instructions there on how to register. The plan was drawn by Mark Gerber and I'm quite sure he said it was intended to duplicate the original kit. Mark built one from that plan, I've seen it hanging in his basement.

Thanks Jack, Yes I have those plans. They are great, I might add. What I'm really looking for is the orginal kit plans for that plane. I know they are not full size, they are in a building sequence in isometric drawings. Just want them to add to my Veco/Wagner/Henry Engineering collection. Appreciate the feedback, thanks much. Hi Gerald. I do not recall VECO ever puting "plans" in any of their kits. Cut aways, iso views, but no true plans. The idea Gil Henry had was if you wanted a new plane, you bought a new kit. I guess it never occured to him that some guys traced his kits and made their own plans, so maybe some "olde fahrt" out there has tracings. You might try Tom Dixon as he used carbon paper on his first sets, which goes back a ways..

Or if one is desperate, you might try the archives at AMA. They do have the entire collection of John Pond and he collected EVERY plan ever put out, CL, RC, free flight, rubber power, HLG, you name it he had it.

Yes I know that Veco did not include full size plans with their kits, they were isometric plans that showed the plane along its building sequence. I have a set of Marc Gerber plans and a set of Brodak plans, just would like to get a set of the orginal kit plans. I don't know what the kit number was, it was the first version Tomahawk that looks like the Brodak Tomahawk they offer. I have the later Jet style kit plans, Ty Marcucci sent me page from a magazine from 1954 and its the right version.
If I can't find any that's okay, just wanted to try. Thanks to all that have looked.

Hi Gerald. See response #4 above. I went to that site, enrolled, and they do have the plans for the Tomahawk just as I figured, by tracing the original kit parts.
