I am looking for a .15 engine for a Sig Acromaster. I might even be able to use a .10.
An O.S. LA or FP would be prefered but would consider any others as long as I can bolt a muffler to it.
This is for my Bro-in-law so I am trying to keep it low budget. I am not really looking for mint, vintage or NIB, just a decent runner.

Howdy Phil, Please consider not using an LA or FP .15 for the Sig Akromaster.
Those engines are too darned heavy for the model, they are more suitable
for a Flight Streak. A .061 through a .09 cu" engine will produce a
very sweet flying model. You can use the earlier lightweight Fox .15s
because they are light engines. The Akromaster was designed for the
early Fox .15.

Phil, this may be a bit pricey but if you are interested,I have an OS.10FSR-S that has maybe 20 runs on it. No damage. It is complete with muffler and a Davis Diesel conversion head (not cheap) as well as the glow head. The engine runs great in either configuration with a little more power as a diesel. Need to sell all items together for 60.00 plus 5.00 postage. This engine pulled my 36" span stunter without breathing hard. I had it in a Brit design called Mirablis, full fuselage stunter with flaps. I also ran it as a diesel in a Texaco event with a 1/16 (thats right, 1/16 inch) inch venturi at 5000 rpm (thats also right, 5M rpm) . It will run an 10 inch prop for 15 minutes on i ounce using diesel, or a 7 or 8 inch prop for stunt with a larger tank and the factory venturi at over 12000 rpm. It likes nitro from 5% to 25% and 20% to 25% all castor fuel. As it is ABC it will likely tolerate 50/50 castor/synthetic also but I never tried it. Very versatile and friendly engine.

you have a collecto coming up in July in your area. MECA and tons of .15's will be there. A .15-.19 is good for this ship.

Tony, I do have a Fox 15 NIB (that I got at the Covina Collecto last year) but I don't really want to pass that one on as gift just yet.
I am hoping to spend around $30 just to get my Bro-in-law in the air. I have already given him everything else to fly, but over the last few years of buying/selling stuff I have it down to just the stuff needed for my own projects.
I'll keep an eye out for a not-so-mint Fox 15 and see what turns up...
