I got a couple of new Norvel Big Mig .061's for Christmas

and need a couple of spring staters (part # 102105).

Hi Bill,
Y'know, if you follow the directions, especially the "remove glow head, add oil, and turn backward 100 turns", these are pretty easy-starting engines. That aside, I probably have a couple of the Starter Springs that I've removed from other NorVel engines that I can sell reasonably. I'll try to get back to you later in the AM.

Yes they are pretty easy for you and I to start, but the neighborhood kids need some help starting them plus those springs provide some "finger injury" insurance.

Bill,
I am not sure of your part number, but as I recall, the springs only worked in Norvel's plastic tank/mount (one end of the spring was captured by the plastic mount and a small hole drilled into the Norvel mounting lug--but my memory is a little fuzzy). So what I am saying is that I think you also need that plastic tank/mount. Maybe you can make a groove in your mount.

ALL the Big Migs have the small hole in the mounting lug so they will work with any engine mount glass or wood.....no need for the Norvel tank!
