Old Top Flite 1/2A props needed

I need some of the old Top Flite Nylon props in 1/2A sizes. I think there were 6x3, 5x3, 5-1/4x4 at least. I need them for my Firebaby to help keep the authenticity.

Slightly used and scuffed would be OK as long as they are safe and not TOO beat up.

Let me know what you have, and we can discuss price.

Larry, looks like you have plenty of volunteers for vintage props.
I occasionaly see the "real" aluminum Firebaby prop on the 'bay, usually
it's offered by sellers who don't know what it is. I actually have seen
one in my garage ....somewhere; I'd never find it if I tried though.
Good luck with your Firebaby.

If you find the prop, please send me a tracing, I can easily make a duplicate just for show (not so dumb as to fly with one!)

Not to worry, I have plenty of the factory stock aluminum props, will send you one when I send your other props. What would be real super on that FireBaby of yours would be to install one of the original Royal Spitfire "Firecracker" .065 engines with the squeeze-bulb throttle control ..... I have a couple of these NIB, but the hand held squeeze-bulb and the on-board-engine accordian type rubber bulb that operates the throttle are long since decayed (dried up) beyond use!
I will try and get your props in the mail by the end of this week.

You might have noticed that the aluminum prop has a bigger hole bored in the center ...... this was to fit the "Jim Walker .065 Firecracker" engine's crankshaft which is an 8-32 thread, so you will need to make up an adapter to go from a #8 screw to a #5 screw maybe .... depends on what engine you are using on your little "Firebaby" I reckon?

The Atwood Shriek has a larger shaft than other engines, so it will probably fit. I only intend to leave the aluminum prop on for show and fly with one of the others, after I figure out what works best.

Yes indeed, the Atwood "Shriek" engine does have an 8-32 prop shaft. I wish I would have remembered which engine you are running, I would have added a nice 8-32 Spinner Nut to your package (see photo).... this is the 1/2A Fox style, also Holland Hornet ..... that Virginia CL Hobby Shop sells them for a couple / three $$bucks$$ each. BTW, upon looking over my remaining Jim Walker metal props I see that some had 8-32 holes and some had 5-40 holes ..... I do not remember which I sent to you?

Do you remember the little Tee Dee .010 CL Jim Walker "74 Fighter" glider conversion that I posted a while back ..... one of those would make a neat addition to your 'Jim Walker Fleet' at the CL Fly-Ins / Contests maybe?
