Nats OTS & Classic events, July 9-10

Monday, July 9:
- OTS & Classic Registration - 12:00 Noon at the L-Pad Pavillion. PLEASE DON'T BE LATE!

Tuesday, July 10:
- Classic Appearance Judging - 8:00 AM, Grass Circles. (*)
- Pilots' Meeting - 9:00 AM, Grass Circles.
- Official Flying - 9:30 AM, Grass Circles.

(*) Need someone to do the Classic appearance judging since I'll be involved with the CLPA judges' seminar at Circle 4, 8:00 to 9:00.

Now accepting volunteers to help with Registration, plus Pit Bosses, Judges, Tabulators. If you'd like to help, please contact me.

As of today we have a Pit Boss and one judge for Classic. Who wants to join-in for either event?

I notice that AMA charges a $10 fee to fly these events (if not already entered in the Nats).

What's the actual entery fee? I haven't found it published, yet.

Nats OTS & Classic, being unofficial events, are staffed and run by PAMPA volunteers. The entry fee for each is $10.00, payable at Registration (12:00 Noon, Monday, July 9 at the L-Pad pavilion).

All entrants in these two unoffcial events must first register with AMA officials at the nearby "farm house" headquarters. This is for the contestants' safety & well-being, since AMA personnel must know where to find us in the event of emergency or other contingency. If in fact there is an additional $10.00 fee charged by the AMA---as shown in Nats info, Item 10, pp. 9-10, Jan-Feb issue of Stunt News---so be it.

As a Nats "volunteer" last year I don't recall having paid that fee, though it's entirely possible that I did....ten bucks being hardly memorable during a $1,500 week. Besides, like the other judges and E.D.s, I got a really neat polo shirt, cap, and a nifty name badge.

The name badge: yes, you'll need to be wearing that when you sign-up for these two events on Monday. That's how the people doing our Registration will know you've checked-in at the "farm house". No badge = no entry. No exceptions.

No need for advance anything !! Just show up & fly. Perfect.

In the past, the Nats have had some rather prohibitive late fees. Better safe than sorry.
