Walter Umlands "Limited Edition CR-32 Freccia"

Much to my supprise the US Mail brought my kit today. In a word OUTSTANDING. If you are familiar with Walters kits you know it was packed just right. The only reason he put out the kit was to use up his styro packing LOL. All lazer cut, ribs are set up for 2 wire jig,hardware included. The CAD plans are some of the best, Very detailed, hats off to Kurt Olden and Walter Umland and all who had a hand in this project. If you passed on this all I can say is NA NA NA NA. Wonder how that happened. It's the CR-32 Freccia profile Bi Plane

What kit is it?

I received mine today also. Very nice. Now I am tempted to build a larger full fuselage version. Those eyetalians sure could make pretty aeroplanes, eh! I was a little worried when I removed the shipping paper to find one end had been bent. No damage thankfully. With all those packing peanuts, the plane was well protected. I am not going to build this kit, just keep it and sell it to collector later for really big bucks. Ha, construction starts tomorrow. Walter has made his usual high quality kit. The best of the best.

Got mine yesterday. I just had to open it to take a look. Walt, you did good! Great job packing, CD pictures, great plans, excellent wood and laser work...... and on and on...

I think this is most expensive kit I've pruchased to date, but it is one of the best values I've seen.

I got my kit yesterday. Walter has done another highly profesional job of producing a kit of exceptional quality. This kit has all the stuff in it to build an airplane that I would guess nobody else will have at the flying field. This will be my first biplane to build and I'm looking forward to starting construction soon.

I plan on covering mine with silkspan and painting it with dope. I will probably use an OS Max FP-20 on it. I have a Fox .35 also but I think the FP-20 would be a good match.

Now I just have to figure out the colors for it. Should it be camoflage, silver. . . ?

dan j Walter's cr32 is the best quality kit I have built. It is almost a shame mess it up by building it. But this baby is to fly and enjoy. Amen.

Leester, you beat me to it. I just got my kit today also. I beat you to the post on the other site tho. Guess which one as it has become my site of choice. I know he shows a Fox 35 Stunt, but, I plan on a LA 25 for mine. Just need to finish the TQR's. --DOC Holliday

Hi Doc,

On the CD you will find a text file with the minor changes I made which includes a mentioning that I changed the engine to an FP 25.

I think either the Fox 35, LA 25 or the FP 25 with be more than enough power for the kit.

Walter man that was fast kit looks great this will be my first laser cut kit. Let me know if you think about kitting anything else.
