OK So it isn't Stunt.,But

I received my new WOW kit from Blue sky Models a few days ago. Having a really soft spot for this plane as it was probably my first combat plane many moons ago when I was about 10 I just couldn't say no when Tom said he was making a kit of it.
Plans are from Barry Baxter and are light years ahead of the origional plans that Consolidated included in their kit. The included exploded view was really the plans that came in the old kit and that kit was a bear to build.
The kit is beautifully laser cut and the wood is nice light clear grained and straight, and there is something magical about beautifully laser cut ply parts. No hardware is included and thats a plus as you get to use what you personally like. There'll be no problem building this one as the ribs have leveling tabs on them and Tom thoughtfully includes a a laser cut template to accurately set the sweep angle and the rib spacing. The origional used the questionable cut of the factory cut leading edge sheeting.
I did a few comarison checks with my origional kit and the parts are an accurate reproduction of the origional with the exception of having absolutely perfect notches for the stringers and no ragged edges on the piece to sand off, Oh I did mention that the parts are light didn't I?.
Slated for a nostalgic K&B green head 35 I'll have a blast reliving my youth again. So I strongly recommend this kit and especially for all of you closet combat flyers who went to stunt just because you got a little older, buy one and be young again. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the compliments, but there is one major correction. The plans are NOT from Barry. I do all my own cad plans for my kits. This is to assure every detail is the way I want it. It also makes it easier for me to prove out the prototypes that I build for all of my kits, before making them available.

From what I hear Barry makes good plans, but by doing them myself I have total control and can make changes, if needed, without having to wait for them. Accurate tolerances (propriortary) for laser widths/cutting, and quality are my goal, and this guarantees it.

Tom, My mistake and I apologise, Still they are excellent plans.
