I have just received the new BLACK HAWK MODELS 42" PRETENDER designed by Dick Sarpolus. Going thru the kit I found all ribs (1/8") laser cut and fuselage parts (1/2") laser cut. Beautiful wood selection for all components. All metal landing gear parts were taped to cardboard in the bottom of the kit to prevent any damage to the contents. Plans are on 8 1/2" X 11" sheet with info at the bottom for full size plan available from Carstens flying plans. A lot of work was spent on this kit to make it a fun model to build. The wing is fully built up with 3/8" square spars top and bottom. A complete hardware package is included in this kit in a sealed plastic package. I do mean complete as it has the hinges and 3" SIG bellcrank, flap and elevator horns, tail wheel and collar, leadout wire, eyelets, and screws. Also a 5 step instruction sheet to go along with the plan. At $65.00, I think this is a real great buy! BTW, I just found out that this kit will go up to $71.00 on Jan.1, 07. This kit will be built by my wife and I don't think she will need much help with it. It's nice to see Larry Rice getting into the larger range of models. I'm sure he will sell many of these.
