This is really a double post as it pertains to two items. Number 1 is a kit of the Original Magician by Brodak. It is laser cut and all the parts fit without hardly any sanding. As slow as I am it only took three days to get it to covering stage. The covering I brought back from Tuscon courtesy of Jim Snells of CLC. It was three rolls of the new Brodak covering. One each Red, White and Blue. Good instructions on using it. The covering was very easy to use and went around the compound curves with little effort. The only complaint is the backing material is very hard to get loose. Will try pictures when it is ready to fly.

Is the new Brodak covering a heat-shrink plastic film?

Yes it is. It is also very easy to put down with low heat once the backing is completely off of it. After flying the Magician last Sat. I had to take the hot air gun to it to get rid of some warps. Flew the plane last night and it is a pleasure to fly. Two and one-half ounce of fuel to do the pattern. I did notice as I was taking the needle in each flight that it would start running leaner towards the half way portion of the tank. The last couple of flights after checking position of spray bar holes I put a peice of fuel line on the needle valve body between the lock nut and the spray bar nut. Seems like there must have been a slight leak in the system. Now runs the way I like it. Only takes a pin hole to upset a uni-flo setup. Have fun,

What motor and tank are you using in the Magician?

I was hoping to make this a 100% Brodak airplane. It is powered with Brodak 25 which seems to be one sweet little engine. Now have a dozen flights on it. Had to add a peice of fuel line tubing over the exposed part of the spray bar. Until I did this it was starting to go lean at half tank and stay there. The last two flights were almost perfect. Especially since I have the warps out of the wing now.
