I recently had occasion to make two mail order purchases from Prop Shop Hobbies in Warren, MI. I was looking for out of production LA_S's and found their ad in MA. Their web site showed them in stock. I called and purchased an OS LA-S 40. The personnel were knowledgable and courteous. A week later, I called back and bought an OS LA-S 25 and a 15. Both shipments were on time. This is just one of many LHS's I have delt with over the years and felt good about the dealing. I highly recommend them.

The Prop Shop is my closest-surviving walk-in hobby store, a full 7 miles away.
It's more than just a name, they have a really-complete selection of props, all makes and sizes.
A small store with a big inventory. I usually get what I drove the 14 miles to get.
Amen to that. And the service when you are there is outstanding. Doesn't matter if you are CL, RC, glow, electric, cars or planes, airbrushing... or motors. Its the kind of hobby shop you'd like to have close by. I drive about an hour to get there and its well worth the trip. And if they don't have it and you want it, they will have it in a hurry.

On rare occasions, they even have 4-6Lb balsa in their Nosen inventory.
Its only about a mile from Hydramatic (GM Powertrain) Warren, so I stop in when I work in that plant.

There ae still a goodly number of free flighters (vol libre') on the loose, and they have a lot spare time.
You would need the quickness of a gazelle to score any light balsa around here.
