I needed 20 sheets of 3/32" x 3" x 30" Contest weight balsa for a special project. Of the 20 sheets, I needed eight of “C” grain. I called Lone Star Balsa late in the afternoon and spoke to Lou. She told me that she didn’t have any on the shelf but would let me know first thing in the morning if they had the stock to cut it for me. Sure enough, I was informed the next day that they could supply it. I placed my order and I had the wood within three days. The wood was perfect, better than I expected. The over-all weight of the wood came out to 5.5 lb./cu. ft. That’s what I call selection and service.

I cannot agree with you more Lone Star were always very good at supplying exactly what I wanted and very fast, also the kit prices were better than anyone elses prices, even if they didn't have a particular kit in stock they would still get it to me within a week, personally I feel we have lost probably the best supplier to our needs there is.
I mourn the day Lone Star burned down, as from what I have heard there are no plans to rebuild, I sure wish that was not true but I do fully understand the decision to not rebuild, I have tried other balsa suppliers but no one can touch them for the excellent service they gave and the selection always at the most reasonable prices.
If one has nothing good to say about another they should not say anything at all
